Work to establish the Inchon Port Authority (IPA) scheduled for this July went into high-gear last week the establishment of a project team for the IPA.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF) began preparing for the establishment of the IPA with three staff being dispatched from Inchon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Inchon City in November last year.
In addition to the three staff already assigned, MOMAF has allocated an additional ten from its own offices.
The team will appointment executives and plan for additional personnel as well as create an organizational system and other necessary tasks.
A source at MOMAF said, "We expect the establishment of the IPA to go smoothly, largely thanks to our experience in successfully establishing the Busan Port Authority."
