New stevedoring equipment investment for domestic ports

Main ports including Pusan, Gwangyang, Incheon, and Pyoungtaek will introduce new stevedoring equipment with 66.3 billion won in investment.
MOMAF (Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries) will finance 75% of the capital through the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives when stevedoring companies introduce the new equipment.
MOMAF supported funds for modernizing port stevedoring equipment in February of this year, and concluded to introduce new equipment with 66.3 billion won. So it will finance 26.2 billion won for Pusan Port, 9 billion won for Incheon Port, 7.8 billion won for Gwangyang Port and 6.4 billion won for Pyongtaek Port.
The planned new stevedoring equipment totals 217 pieces of machinery including one container crane, 19 transfer cranes, 19 reach stackers as well as many others. The new machinery will have 71 pieces deplyed at Pusan Port, 71 for Incheon Port, 27 for Gwangyang Port, 46 for Pyoungtaek Port and 2 for Ulsan Port.
