* Inchon container volumes increase 17% in April *
Although Inchon container volumes in April were down compared to the first quarter, they were still up 17% compared to last year.
According to Inchon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (Inchon MOMAF), in April container volumes reached 27,725 TEU for exports, 36,011 TEU for imports, and 466 TEU in transshipments, totaling 64,202 TEU, which was 9,000 TEU higher than March.
One official at Inchon MOMAF said, "Traditionally cargo volumes decrease in April but this April the liner service in the Inchon-Taiwan route and the containerization of bulk cargoes both increased nicely. |
